This region of the galaxy sites in the borders between Wild Space, the Outer Rim, and the Unknown Regions. The galactic region that is the Northern Systems only came to existence not long after the Galactic Republic reorganized into the Galactic Empire. Don’t know why it does that and have never been able to correct or fix it. Careful when using SketchBook because the image will slightly darken in color from its original version before editing. For those who’re curious, I used SketchBook, Paintbrush, and My PaintBrush apps for Mac. even looking up google for a new image of a galaxy to use for the background. Yes, from making the grid to drawing out the regional boarders and even the canon hyperspace routes. I instead built and drew it from the group up. The map and it’s layout you’re seeing is heavily based on the Star Wars Galaxy Map created by Henry Bernberg from But I didn’t just want to crop a section on that map, no. So any and nearly all characters living in this region of space will be brand new. I love Star Wars and I wish to make my own story that feels different and new. Hoping this way I can do my own thing within the Star Wars universe without dramatically interfering with canon and legends stories to an unrealistic degree. I don’t know how many fans before ever made their own custom section of space in the Star Wars universe but I figured why not. One reason with wanting to create an original galactic region is to place several of my Star Wars ideas and characters I’m thinking about without interfering with the rest of the galaxy in both canon or legends. Then popped an idea of creating an creating my own region of star systems in the galaxy. It has always acquired that there were still huge chunks and sectors not heavily known or explored such as Wild Space and the Unknown Regions. This was an interesting idea I had while looking through both Legends and Canon maps of the Star Wars galaxy.
